....about how to get that "foggy look" in the beach pics below from fellow Photogs wanting to know if I used some sort of action or Photoshop trick.
Sorry to disappoint, but I used the real thing. It was just good ol' genuine fog. You'll have to ask Mother Nature about how to get it.
Hugs, PB :)

Just call me a blogaholic this week...
because yes, this is the 3rd post in about 24 hours! Just wanted to update you all and let you know that a PRICE CHANGE will go into effect on June 1st of this year. If you already have a session booked, you will receive current pricing on prints from that session. Plus, I'll F-I-N-A-L-L-Y have package pricing available as well! Sorry it's taken me a while to get to that, but y'all have been keeping me BUSY!
On that note, I think I need to go ahead and let y'all know that I'm booked through August now, and I'm starting a list of those of you interested in Fall/Holiday sessions. SOOO, I cannot stress this enough....if you're interested in getting your picture taken this fall, for Holiday cards or any other reason, please let me know sooner rather than later. Although I am not scheduling dates yet, I will add your name to my list, and I can at least guarantee you a slot at this point.
*** Okay, I'm going to pour my heart out a bit now***
I have to tell y'all, that when I started this little "business" last year, I NEVER - not in 10 million years - thought I would be in a position where I actually have to turn business away! But y'all, it is happening. Last week, I had to turn down 4 requests (one was a sweet neighbor, one was a CURRENT client, and two were potential new clients) who needed work done in May/June/July. Since I am the ultimate people pleaser, it literally made my stomach churn to have to say no! I cannot begin to tell you all how much I love what I do, so turning down the opportunity to create something beautiful is literally painful to me. Therefore, please continue to contact me as soon as possible about scheduling pictures - ESPECIALLY Maternity/Newborn work. And, if you need work done immediately, please let me know so I can refer you to another qualified Photographer in our area. I'd be happy to do that, even though it makes me cringe a little....
And for those of you kind enough to invite me into your homes & lives to photograph your beautiful children, thank you so VERY much for the opportunity to work. This community is awesome, and I swear, I have the best clients in the world!!

And one more...

...sneak peek from early Saturday morning! Mom had been trying to coordinate pictures for a while, and I'm so glad I was able to work her in. This little guy was a riot, and I must say, one of the more cooperative barely 4-year-olds that I've had the pleasure of working with in a while! He posed on cue...he worked with the light...he was almost too easy to photograph! No meltdowns, no fits, nothing! Certainly can't say the same thing about the last time I tried to photograph my own flesh & blood. And of course, those killer eyes just MADE my day! Mom was fun to meet too, and our location was a little slice of Hilton Heaven. Y'all enjoy! :) PB

I'm so behind on sneak peeks....

...sorry Moms! And Dads! And sweet little boys who helped me find seashells and jelly fish last week on the beach! These little guys were SOOO much fun I could hardly stand it. Once we scared away all those pesky seagulls who were hanging out on our beach, we had a blast running along the shoreline and discovering all the things the water has to offer. The beach is truly a magical place for little ones, and I can't wait to go back! Not sure how long they kept mom there after the shoot though....may have been a while. A sandcastle fort was in the makes as I was driving off.....

The Website issues...
...have been resolved! So sorry for those of y'all who have brought to my attention the problems with "scrolling" on my site. You are now able to actually read everything that is under the Information section, and you are also able to send messages my way!
Again, so sorry, and thanks soooo much for bringing this to my attention! :) Hugs, PB

When it comes to making beautiful babies...

...these folks take the prize. Sweet baby brother is just 5 days old and already oozing with charm! Of course, he was also oozing with a few other things, but we won't go into detail about all that. :)
Y'all remember his sweet mom's maternity session which was too much fun! Particularly because I had SO much help from the newest big sister in town. What a honey! She's crazy beautiful too, and I'll try to post some of the shots I stole of her yesterday soon.
Can't wait to go back for his 3-month session in July!
... .which reminds me... I am now booked through July! I will start taking bookings for August in June, and of course I would be happy to add anyone to my cancellation list in the meantime, but for now I'm booked.
I'm reworking some details of holiday pricing/packaging but I promise I'll have that up soon. Well, at least by June. The end of June. Maybe sooner....so check back soon!
Okay, it's 10:00 a.m. and I'm still in my pajamas. HAPPY MONDAY! :) hugs, PB

I Love New York!

But it's nice to be home. We had a blast, and I thought I'd share a few pics - that is, if blogger will allow me to. I've given up on the sneak peek from last week, sent my apologies to the sweet mom, and finished the proofs for her to see/share on her own. You'll probably be seeing a few of the shots when I update my website though - it was with a special (I *heart* folks who adopt!) family!
Okay, so NY was great - we saw Rent, and Legally Blonde (yes, extreme opposites in the drama spectrum, I know....but we enjoyed both tremendously,) ate cheesecake at Junior's (yumo) and Pizza from the street vendors (double yummo)took a tour and I got to spend my day at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. One of my favorite places on this planet.
Our visit to Ground Zero was surreal. I haven't been in the Big Apple for 10 years, and I remember visiting the WTC and Trinity Church last time. Of course, 10 years ago, the WTC was so big it went into the clouds, and Trinity Church was just a beautiful historic little chapel - not the memorial it has become. It was very moving, and I'd be lying if I told you tears weren't shed.
Here's a few pics. The city, the altar at Trinity, our travel mates adorable teenage daughter, and some carriages that I really like. Forgive the quality - these were taken with my kit lens, and primarily from the top of a moving bus (could we BE any more stereotypical tourists?) but I think they are at least worth sharing. Enjoy! Oh, and have a good weekend!
