Okay, I told y'all I was having trouble...

This is probably obnoxious...

...but I'm going to post a ton of pictures from yesterday's session!! I had a hard time narrowing it down to just five, and I've only gotten through editing about half of them. Have I told y'all lately how much I love what I do? Mom was a delight, and mentioned early on that she was a fan of the artsy photojournalistic stuff she's seen on my website, so something in my brain just snapped (green light maybe?) and I went nuts!!! I took WAAAYYY too many pictures (as always) and I probably would have gone on all night had a boo-boo on sweet little brother's hand not signaled that it was definitely time to call it a wrap! Seriously, seriously, seriously folks.... these two were just awesome.....and they epitomized snips, and snails & puppy dog tails, and all that little boys are made of!!

Wow! Can you say RESPONSE!!!

That's what I got last week while trying to fill up this "slow" time of year with a few sessions. Soooo, since I'm interested in doing more maternity work, I sent out an email to a few local friends & clients about Portfolio Building Sessions (reduced fee and reduced print prices) which I was hoping to book through March 31st. I'm happy (and a little suprised) to report that by week's end, I was booked through mid April, so Portfolio Building Sessions are no longer available. I'm SOOO sorry for those of you I've had to turn away...but I have to keep a promise I made to my husband about not booking more than 4 sessions a month. Apparently, I become a somewhat unpleasant person to be around when over-booked/over-stressed/over-worked (you moms/wives out there can relate.) Soooo in an effort to remember those pesky things called priorities...I am not taking any more sessions until April. Please contact me if you're interested in booking at that time, and please let me know if you wish to be added to my email list for upcoming specials!

In the meantime, I'm posting a few more pics from a recent session (in honor of cute baby feet) and enjoying some time "off." My next session is booked for the 20th, so I'll have some fresh stuff for y'all then. In the meantime, enjoy...

In the spirit of Fat Tuesday...

...I thought I'd post a few shots from my most recent session. Are y'all making the connection?

Seriously, there are few things in this world that I love more than a pleasantly plump baby - so Saturday's shoot was a RIOT!! This little guy was adorable in all his 3-month old glory!! Check out those killer thighs - you can't create that kind of beauty!

As always, mom was a doll, and almost had me convinced that taking care of 4 children was sometimes easier than taking care of just one. Seriously y'all, I told you she was sweet....and obviously trying to make those of us with singletons feel better about not always having it together. THOROUGHLY ENJOYABLE day - fun family, great shoot....can't wait to see him when he turns 6 months!

Okay, this time of year is making me miss Louisiana!!!! If anyone of my Shreveport girlfriends happen to be reading this, y'all head on down to Julieanne's and have a big ol' piece of King Cake for me! Then, go over to Tubbs and do the same. And when you're done with that, stop by Rollin' in the Dough. I SOOO miss Louisiana's food!! It deserves every legendary accolade ever received, and then some. Don't get me wrong - I've had some DIVINE meals up here, but there is just something about those southern sweets....

Exponentially Awesome....

...is the only way I can describe my shoot last week! A fave mom of mine, with super-cute offspring and a beautiful home with some nice light in which to work....what more can a clickin' chick ask for? Although it looked like baby boy was going to experience naptime meltdown before we were finished, I'm so glad he didn't...I LOVE some of the shots of him with mom...too sweet, and it's making me want another one of my own!!

Big sister was a big "help" and the subject of some really cute shots as well. I'm not going to post them all on this post (tick, tock), but soon I promise...

In the meantime, y'all have a GREAT weekend! If you're looking for something to do (unlike those of us who will be immersed in all things Super Bowl), GO SEE JUNO!! Seriously...it's the first movie I've seen in a while that had both myself and my husband going between laughter and tears (don't tell him I told you that) at least 10 times in under 2 hours. If you're over 28, give it a few minutes to grow on you, and I promise, you'll fall in love!!!
