The hubster is spooked.

And I can't say I blame him. It all started when he stumbled upon my "to-do" list for Saturday in our car. This was it:

Photobucket

Just in case you can't make it out: (here goes)

-graves
-sewer
-moss
-get cash
-bandaids/CVS.

To clarify: I'm working on some cool new textures/overlays to use in my pictures. to create'em, I've been poking all around our little neighborhood looking for funky, weathered, old stuff to photograph. Langley AFB (where I live) is FULL of history including some TOTALLY cool graves that are sort of hidden on base, where the original landowners (before it became Langley) are buried. They are covered in the most **AMAZING** texture, and as part of my "to-do's" for the day, I made a quick stop to snap'em. I also had to shoot the top of an old sewer cover (that would be item #2) and some really pretty moss on a nearby tree. And then of course, rounded it out by hitting the ATM and picking up Band-Aids.

{Enter}: baffled husband. Who is now suspecting that I've (a.) committed murder, (b.)stuffed the body in a sewer somewhere, and (c.) just happen to be(inconveniently) out of bandaids.

So, I launch into explanation about overlays, how photoshop works in layers, graves, sewer covers....yada yada yada....

{Enter}: even more baffled husband who now wonders what he married. Thinks he may prefer diabolical murderess to bizarre grave photographer.

"And you're going to use these in pictures of children?"

WELL - when he puts it like THAT - okay, it sounds bad. But it will be cool, I promise.

Anyhow, I'll post some cute shots of this weeks *other* (totally alive fam of 6)session later, but I know some of my fellow photog friends can relate. I mean, doesn't everybody's brain work that way? See an old grave and immediately think of incorporating the texture into images of little children?

Okay, I'm freaking myself out now. Better go. :) PB
